OBSOLETE POLICY CHIP MANUAL |
Effective Date: April 1, 2011
The request for New Hire information notice has a section asking about the new income and new health insurance information. The notice tells the family that if they complete the income section, we may use the form as a review.
If the family does not verify possible access to health insurance through their new employer, close CHIP following the 10 days notice requirement.
If the family does not complete the income section and does not have access to health insurance, enter the new job in the eligibility system so that a mandatory review form will be sent at the next review period.
If the family completes the income section and does not have access to health insurance, determine whether the income would adversely affect their current eligibility.
If the change does not adversely affect current eligibility, use the form as a review, make the income changes, and update the enrollment period.
If the change adversely affects their current eligibility, do not establish a new 12 month enrollment period. Enter the new job information in the eligibility system so that a mandatory review form will be sent at the next review period.
