604 Availability of CHIP Services

Previous Policy

The CHIP program does not always cover the entire cost of the enrollee’s medical care.  Enrollees have responsibility to understand their health care benefits and limitations.  Once they are certified for CHIP, the CHIP health plan that they are enrolled with sends them a member handbook which explains the CHIP benefit program and the CHIP providers they are allowed to use.  Any questions about covered benefits or claim procedures should be referred to the health plan.
