215-3  When Unrelated Adults Live in the Home.

1. Determine if the adult is the legal parent of any of the children who are under the age of nineteen who reside in the home.  If the adult is the legal parent of a child who must be included in the household size, the adult must also be included in the household and his income must be counted.

2.  If there is no legal or acknowledged relationship (See Section 215-1), ask if the adult contributes income to the CHIP household.  You may use form 702 to document this contribution.
